Lunar Pendant in 18ct Yellow Gold

This small Lunar pendant necklace in luxurious 18ct yellow gold hangs elegantly from a gold chain. The golden cup-mark design features a textured gold finish, created through a process called reticulation, and is hand-enamelled in ‘Plum’ enamel. The design is approximately 15mm long.

Lunar Gold is a contemporary collection in classic 9ct yellow gold and enamelled 18ct Yellow Gold, inspired by the ancient art of our ancestors. Thousands of years ago at the Ness of Brodgar in Orkney, people carved hollows or cup-marks of various sizes in rough rock, perhaps to signify an event or to follow the passage of time as the moon waxed and waned. Sheila’s gold designs are textured like the surface of rock and beautifully enamelled by hand.
