Lunar Pearl Pendant

This Lunar Pearl pendant necklace in sterling silver features Sheila’s cup-mark design, delicately hanging from a silver chain. The circular design has a textured finish with a slightly concave centre, hand-enamelled and set with a pearl in our Orkney workshop.

 Lunar Pearl is inspired by the ancient art of our ancestors. Thousands of years ago at the Ness of Brodgar in Orkney, people carved hollows or cup-marks of various sizes in rough rock, perhaps to signify an event or to follow the passage of time as the moon waxed and waned. Sheila’s designs are textured like the surface of rock, enamelled in a variety of colourways, and hand-set with an enchanting pearl.
