Our most colourful, characterful seabird. Nesting in burrows on remote clifftops, the puffins may look like sad-faced clowns but are really spectacular stunt fliers and skilled fishfinders.
You'll only stand a chance of seeing puffins in Orkney if you're here between late April and mid-August. In the autumn they fly south and west to the mid-Atlantic, leaving us with Ola's silver and gold portraits to remind us of Orkney's favourite seabird.
